Harbour Rocks Hotel is set in the heart of Sydney’s historic Rocks district, and at over 150 years old is steeped in history itself. This charming boutique hotel provides personal, high quality service and a unique 'home-from-home' ambiance in the midst of this bustling, vibrant city.

Rooms are decorated in a simple and elegant style, and come in a range of categories, with some featuring superb views across the historic Rocks and Sydney Harbour and the luxurious Penthouse Suite boasting views of the iconic Opera House.

There are many dining options close by, in addition to the small on site restaurant, Scarlett, which is open daily and offers a delightful selection of traditional dishes. There's also Eric’s Bar, which is a great place to end the day with a glass of local Australian beer or wine.

A beautiful heritage hotel with a superb location in the heart of the Rocks. This is a really unique boutique property, offering fantastic service, plenty of character, and a lovely atmosphere.

Rooms

All rooms and suites at the hotel feature a good range of amenities, including high-speed internet access, an LED TV, air conditioning, a safe, hair dryer, minibar and tea/coffee making facilities.

The entry-level Heritage Rooms offer a queen size bed, and are decorated in rich heritage tones throughout, with many historic features such as bare brick walls showing through. The Heritage Superior rooms offer greater space, with some featuring open fireplaces and many housed in the original workers’ cottages, dating back to 1870. Heritage Deluxe rooms have a modern, open-plan design, a king size bed, double sofa bed and en suite bathroom, while Studio Suites offer more space, a king size bed or two king single beds and a contemporary style.

Meanwhile, the luxurious Harbour View Suite overlooks the world-famous Circular Quay in Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House, with a self-contained bedroom, large separate bedroom with king size bed, open-plan lounge with double sofa bed, dining area, and deluxe bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower. It also has a large rooftop terrace with outdoor dining furniture.

Location

The location of this hotel contributes to its charm. It's surrounded by beautifully restored heritage buildings, restaurants, craft shops, art exhibitions and cafés, all bursting with character and culture. There are many galleries showcasing both established and emerging talents, along with quirky stores brimming with colourful trinkets and Aboriginal crafts. With a subtle, yet distinct, tourist flavour, the best way to explore the area is by foot. The hotel is also minutes away from a selection of excellent restaurants and bars.

Food and drink

Open for breakfast and dinner, the main Scarlett Restaurant serves Australian cuisine in a relaxing setting that combines rustic stone walls with contemporary furnishings. For pre- or post-dinner drinks, Eric's Bar offers Australian beers and wine from around the world, as well as light tapas dishes.

The hotel offers a romantic Sydney getaway package, which includes a buffet breakfast in Scarlett Restaurant, a bottle of Australian sparkling wine and chocolate dipped strawberries upon arrival.
