Part of the Lungarno Collection hotels, this classic yet modern hotel radiates a sophisticated glamour brought to life by Italian designer, Michele Bonan. The walls are lined with drawings and black and white photographs to evoke the elegance of 1950s and 1960s Florence, with shots of Ferragamo himself, Brigitte Bardot, Grace Kelly and many more.
There's a significant focus on tailoring your visit so you feel entirely at home. For example, you can specify breakfast, minibar and turn down preferences on arrival, and can even send in family photographs for staff to place in your suite.
A fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of the city that expertly balances the glamour of 1950s and 1960s Florence with modern Italian interior design. This hotel is not only stylish but also pays great care to the comfort of every guest, making it feel like a pied-à-terre rather than a hotel.

Rooms
All of the rooms are spacious and offer a range of 1960s design features, yet with a modern refinement. Although not all the rooms have views of the Arno, they more than make up for this in space. They each feature a small kitchenette and a bar that folds subtly away into a stylish wardrobe. They also boast large walk-in closets and smart marble bathrooms with baths and separate showers.
Location
Although not directly on the riverfront, the Portrait Firenze is just a few minutes’ walk from the Ponte Vecchio, and it offers great views of the Arno River. From here, you’re approximately a ten-minute walk from the Duomo and the heart of the city, and you can also easily walk to the Uffizi Gallery.
Food and drink
Breakfast is served in the Café Dell’Oro, which offers an excellent selection of both buffet and à la carte options alongside views of the Ponte Vecchio. During the day, a classic Italian bistro menu is also on offer. As the Portrait Firenze is part of the cluster of Lungarno Collection hotels along the Arno River, there are a number of restaurant and bar options nearby. The concierge staff will be happy to book a table for you.
Families
Some rooms can interconnect to create a larger suite for families or small groups.
