OUR OPINION:
This hotel's convenient location a few minutes from the heart of Gion, and its unique boutique style, make it a great option in Kyoto. There is a great on-site restaurant, although do bear in mind that they only serve a set menu, which is priced at a premium.

The narrow lanes of Pontocho Alley are only a 12-minute walk away, offering plenty of small eateries amid the glow of paper lanterns.
