Day 1 Troll Peninsula
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Keflavík. On arrival at Keflavík International Airport, you’ll be taken by private car to Reykjavík’s domestic airport for your flight to Akureyri. You’ll be met on arrival by your hosts from Deplar Farm and and transfer to the property, which lays in the heart of the scenic Troll Peninsula.
Day 2 Troll Peninsula
A wide array of activities is on offer at Deplar Farm, all fully tailored to your personal interests. You might spend your first day here on a guided hike, or spot humpback whales on nearby Eyjafjörður. If staying in the winter, go snowshoeing or snowmobiling, or don cross-country skis and explore the snowy landscape.
Day 3 Troll Peninsula
Enjoy a second day at Deplar Farm. You could explore further afield with your guide and visit nearby hot springs, or simply relax and enjoy the hotel’s range of facilities. If you’re there between September and March, you may also see the northern lights.
Day 4 Reykjavík
Take a private transfer back to Akureyri and fly to Reykjavík. You’ll be met on arrival and transfer to your hotel in the heart of the Icelandic capital.
Day 5 Reykjavík
Take to the skies on a privately guided helicopter tour. You’ll see sweeping, unspoiled views of the Icelandic landscape, flying over the crater of a dormant shield volcano and the diverging tectonic plates at Þingvellir National Park. You’ll also land on Þórisjökull glacier and explore a region only accessible by helicopter. Returning to Reykjavík, spend the rest of the day at leisure in the city.
Day 6 Reykjavík
Your driver will meet you at the hotel this morning and take you by superjeep to the Reykjanes Peninsula. Your superjeep can venture inland away from the roads, taking you to some of the most remote corners of this volcanic peninsula. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness scenery, before heading to the nearby Blue Lagoon. Here, you’ll spend the next few hours enjoying the exclusive facilities at the Retreat Spa including the chance to bathe in the lagoon’s mineral-rich waters.
