Swimming pool at Rohet Garh

Rohet Garh

Rohet, India

A 350-year-old converted castle, Rohet was once one of the most important areas in the state of Marwar.

Each room is unique in size and decoration; much of the furniture was designed and made in the surrounding villages and the walls are adorned with attractive frescoes.

Dinner is usually served by the pool but special dinners can be organised on the terrace overlooking the lake. Bruce Chatwin and William Dalrymple both resided at Rohet Garh whilst writing novels.
