Lemon Tree Lodge offers bed and breakfast accommodation for couples and single travellers.
Hapuku Lodge, Kaikoura, New Zealand
Situated between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Hapuku Lodge enjoys a beautiful location on a deer stud and olive farm. Purpose built to maximise its position, the lodge itself houses just four guest rooms, each designed to allow stunning views of the surrounding dramatic scenery. The rooms are wonderfully comfortable and spacious, featuring handcrafted furniture and beautiful bathrooms.
Separate from the main lodge are the stunning tree houses. Within each tree house there is a beautifully appointed bedroom, bathroom and sitting area with stunning views, complete with wood burner for cooler evenings and a private balcony when it is warm.
Meals at the lodge are excellent, focusing on fresh and flavoursome food, sourced locally wherever possible, and a three course dinner is available each evening. The entire Kaikoura community is Green Globe accredited, the first township in the world to achieve this, and in order to contribute to the town's commitment to the environment, the lodge plant one native New Zealand plant per night for every guest that stays with them.
