Change location
From the outside, Hotel Topazz looks like a work of modern art, with large oval windows sticking out of the stone-like façade like strategically placed bubbles. As you step inside, you’ll be greeted with elegance — the hues are dark and neutral, with pops of interest such as the black-and-white chevron flooring in the Salon Topazz area.
The dark purples and oak browns give the hotel a romantic feel, and the rooms provide wide views of the city. Located on a quiet side street, the hotel is within a five-minute walk of Saint Stephen’s Cathedral and right off a major shopping street.
A buffet and à la carte breakfasts are served daily in Salon Topazz, or you can head across the street to sister hotel Lamée and grab a drink at the Lamée Rooftop.

The 32 rooms, spread across eight floors, fall into three different categories — Superior, Deluxe and Prestige. All rooms feature en suite bathrooms, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and large bathrooms with rain showers.
The Prestige rooms are the largest option, with at least one, possibly two, oval windows with chaise longue. The Superior room features a private balcony, but no longue in the big oval windowsill. The Deluxe room is a bit smaller, but still offers a window with a longue.
The elegant rooms boast dark wood floors and bright marble bathrooms. However, the hotel’s personality still shines through and you’ll find details like fur-rimmed bedside lights and table lamps standing on metal duck legs.
Stephansplatz, the geographical midpoint of Vienna, is a five-minute walk away. Here you’ll find Saint Stephen’s Cathedral and two high-end shopping streets, as well as cafes, restaurants and street musicians.
Despite its proximity to the bustling square, the hotel itself sits on a quiet side street so you can enjoy a bit of a calmer atmosphere.
We love Hotel Topazz for its playful architecture, elegant furnishings and location close to major landmarks like Saint Stephen’s Cathedral. Enjoy a drink on the rooftop of its sister hotel across the street in the evening.
