  • Arrival in Santiago this morning and transfer to your hotel.

  • Fly up to the Atacama Desert today and settle in to your hotel in the small desert town of San Pedro de Atacama. The afternoon is at leisure to relax at your hotel and explore the town.

  • A morning visit to the Salar de Atacama and Toconao. This afternoon visit the stunning Valley of the Moon and watch the sunset over the sand dunes.

  • An early morning visit to El Tatio Geysers for sunrise when they are most impressive, following with a relaxing dip at the Puritama hot springs. Afternoon at leisure.

  • Today you are collected by your Bolivian guide and driver to begin your overland journey into the remote southwestern corner of Bolivia. Explore Laguna Verde and Colorado, with impressive views of the Licancabur volcano.

  • Traverse the surreal high Andean plains today, passing the famous Hedionda Lagoon and Stone Tree.

  • Today will be one of the most impressive days of the journey as you approach and cross the vast white Salar de Uyuni, a fantastic place for photography!

  • Free time to visit Machu Picchu again before returning to Cuzco by train for the night.
