Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Lima.

  • Upon arrival in Lima, you will be greeted at the airport and taken to your hotel just over the road.

  • Fly to Cuzco early this morning and have the rest of the day to acclimatise.

  • Enjoy a shared city tour.

  • Head into the Sacred Valley today, visiting the salt pans of Maras and the experimental agricultural terraces of Moray. Stay overnight in the Sacred Valley.

  • Take an early train this morning into Ollantaytambo and head up to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. You will have a guided tour and time to take photos.

  • Enjoy a second entrance today at your own leisure. Take the train back to Ollantaytambo afterwards and back to Cuzco.

  • Fly to La Paz this morning and have a tour of the city.

  • Fly to Uyuni and begin exploring the salt flats with your private guide. You will visit the museum, the hills and maybe even the famous Ojos de Sal.

  • Visit Thunupa volcano today and the mysterious Coquesa mummies.

  • Begin your drive south toward Eduardo Avaroa National Park, staying at Laguna Hedionda, home to flamingos all year round.

  • Continue your drive to the Chilean border, stopping off at amazing lagoons along the way.

  • Visit the Moon Valley today and have an astronomical tour this evening.

  • Arrive in Santiago this morning and transfer to your hotel. Have the rest of the day to explore.

  • Be taken back to the airport for your flight home.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
