Omni Mont Royal

Omni Mont Royal

Located in the city’s lively downtown area near McGill University, this elegant hotel sits in the historical district of Montréal. With only 12 rooms per floor, the hotel feels spacious and quiet, but at the same time it has lots of good amenities, including a gym, an outdoor pool, a cafe, and a popular bar. From the rooms on the higher floors there are great views over the city, and the large windows in all guestrooms let in plenty of light. Rooms are chic, with luxurious textiles, and although the hotel is popular with business guests it feels stylish and relaxed rather than corporate.

There are several suites, which have separate living and bedroom areas.

Location

Situated in the lively downtown area of the city, the hotel is close to many shops, bars and restaurants. To walk to Old Montréal takes about 30 minutes or a short taxi ride. It’s also a great location from which to explore the nearby volcanic hill of Mont Royal by foot or bicycle.

Food and drink

The Alice Bar overlooks the city streets and serves wines, cocktails and casual bar food from 11:30am till late. The Petit Opus Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has a French bistro-style menu. When the swimming pool is open (from mid-May to mid-October), there’s an accompanying pool bar serving drinks, sandwiches, salads and light snacks.

Facilities and activities

The hotel has a gym, a sundeck with loungers, a rooftop pool (open from mid-May to mid-October) and an indoor Jacuzzi. There’s also a spa, which is open all week (excluding Sundays) and it offers a range of beauty treatments and massages.

Our opinion

This hotel is in a great location for exploring downtown Montréal and Mont Royal. But, what really sets it apart is its facilities, including its pool, bar and cafe, which are all worth a visit.
