Rooms
All accommodations enjoy a wonderful outlook on the surrounding pristine wilderness, some enhanced with water views. Guests can choose to stay in the main lodge, in a unique riverside room with handmade log furniture, private bathrooms and luxury amenities. Further afield, stay at Beaver Hall, housing three larger private suites, each with its own outdoor area, or in the two-bedroom Lakeside Cottage, complete with a full kitchen, ideal for larger groups.
Location
The lodge is located within the UNESCO Southwest Nova Scotia Biosphere Reserve, adjacent to the Tobeatic Wilderness Area in southern Nova Scotia. Trout Point Lodge is surrounded by nature but still easily reached by car, around three hours from Halifax.
Food and drink
Dining at the lodge is available in two cozy venues — the intimate Chez la Forêt, perfect for couples, or for more buzz the larger Bois et Charbon, with room for bigger groups. Every night, a four-course gourmet chef’s menu is served in both dining rooms. Ingredients are hand-picked from the lodge’s gardens to accompany local seafood and meats, all complemented by a curated wine list. Breakfast and lunch are also available at the lodge, with a packed lunch option for those out exploring.
