Travel that's shaped around you

We know that travel has the most meaning when it's created individually for you. Our specialists will only start designing your trip once they understand exactly what you want it to be. So, consider this idea simply as inspiration for your own experience.

Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Arrival in Costa Rica where you will be met at the airport by your driver for the three-hour road transfer to the Arenal Volcano region. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

  • This morning you'll take a trip to the Arenal Hanging Bridges. This series of trails and bridges offers a detailed and unique perspective on the flora and fauna of the tropical primary forest and your specialist local guide will help you spot even the most well hidden creatures! This will be followed with a soak in the natural hot springs of the area.

  • Today you'll have the opportunity to explore the Arenal Rainforest Reserve. You'll take the Sky Tram, which is a slow-paced 15-minute aerial cable car ride, through rainforest offering endless views along the way, followed by a Canopy Tour — a 3,000-meter long, zip-line system that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the rainforest from a different perspective. Then in the afternoon, you'll explore Lake Arenal by kayak. Paddle around the shores of the lake, spotting many species of bird including the anhinga, flycatcher and kingfisher, and perhaps hearing or even spotting howler monkeys in the nearby forests.

  • Traveling by road your driver will take you around Lake Arenal and the volcano before heading out to the Pacific coast. Landing at the beach, you'll settle in to your hotel on the west coast of the Nicoya peninsula, offering expansive views of Playa Nosara.

  • Like much of Costa Rica, you can be as relaxed or as busy as you like here. The hotel can help you arrange all sorts of activities include surfing, yoga, turtle watching, mangrove tours, stand-up paddle boarding or kayaking.

  • A day at leisure on the coast. There are three beaches within easy walking distance of your hotel and a fourth just a short drive away. There is also a nature reserve attached to the hotel, so plenty of choice!

  • Enjoy a final day at leisure on the coast.

  • Take a private transfer to the airport, ready for your flight home.
