Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa

Luxor, Egypt

The Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa is one of the most luxurious and modern hotels in the city, with majestic views over the Nile. The hotel has an impressive spa complex, while the inventively designed infinity pool, with submerged loungers and an incredible location right next to the Nile, is possibly the finest you'll find in Egypt.

Rooms and suites are comfortable and contemporary in style, with most of them boasting Nile views and a select few coming complete with their own private courtyard and treatment room for that extra touch of luxury. Guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing a dining venue, with a selection of eight restaurants and bars found on site serving a variety of dishes and beverages, making this a great place to end a busy day of sightseeing.

OUR OPINION:

The Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa is one of the more stylish hotels in the Hilton chain, and one that has its own individual charm. Its pool and spa, along with its location right on the Nile and close to Karnak, make it one of Luxor's most attractive accommodation options.

Rooms

Rooms and suites span several categories, each differing in terms of their size, bed type and view type. Those with views over the Nile are best, but if you're looking for a real slice of luxury, the Spa Suites provide a real oasis, featuring their own spa treatment room and massage table. Amenities in all rooms include a TV and DVD player, air conditioning, a minibar, hair dryer and well-equipped en suite bathroom, with most rooms also featuring a balcony. Some can also be connected to accommodate families, while the suites have a separate living area that can sleep one child.

Location

The advantage of the Hilton’s location is its uninterrupted views of the Nile. With no cruise ships moored in front of the property, the view is unspoilt; unlike a number of other properties in Luxor. It's also within walking distance of Karnak Temple, although you'd need to take a taxi or arrange for a vehicle to get you into the heart of the city, which is ten minutes away.

Food and drink

With stunning Nile views, this hotel is all about alfresco dining. If the weather permits, we recommend a sunset dinner at the Mediterranean Olives restaurant followed by a relaxing drink at Diwan, the hotel’s shisha cafe (shisha optional). However, there are a total of seven restaurants and bars to choose from in a variety of settings, catering to all tastes.

Families

A number of children's activities are organized at the hotel, and a children's menu is available at the restaurants on site. Cribs and high chairs are also available for the use of families with young children.

Facilities and activities

The hotel has a delightful pool area facing the river, with sunloungers partially submerged in the pool allowing guests to cool off in the heat of the day. There's also a fitness room, gift shop, barber and beauty salon. Laundry, valet and luggage hold services are also offered.

Accessibility

The hotel provides a good level of accessibility features throughout, with the majority of its communal areas deemed accessible and a number of accessible guest rooms offered, featuring roll-in showers and no steps. Service support animals are also welcome at the hotel.
