Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Upon arrival in Paris, you're met at the airport and driven to your centrally located hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a short leisurely cruise along the Seine River to take in all that the city has to offer. You can sit back and relax while taking in views of the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral and more. We'll provide the champagne to celebrate your arrival.

  • Your private guide meets you in your hotel lobby and together you walk to the two Islands, Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis. Here you visit the Gothic-style Notre Dame Cathedral before walking over to Sainte-Chappelle to admire its remarkable stained glass windows. Next, you walk the short distance from the islands to the Louvre. Here, your guide will help you to navigate this historic palace, which has been turned into an extensive museum, ensuring you see its most famous pieces, including the Mona Lisa.

  • This morning, you're met by your driver-guide in the hotel lobby and taken to Château de Versailles. Escorting you through the royal apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, the opera, galleries and chapel, your guide will explain the rich history of the palace and the reign of the Sun King, Louis XIV. The tour ends with a stroll through the beautiful French gardens and fountains surrounding the chateau. When you've finished your visit your driver-guide will take you back to your hotel, and you have the rest of the day at leisure in Paris.

  • Today you start diving deep into French military history, particularly that of World War II, with your private guide. Your day begins with a visit to Les Invalides, Napoleon's tomb and the Army Museum. As you explore, your guide will explain the significance of Napoleon's reign and provide an overview of French military history. Next, you're escorted to the Eiffel Tower for your shared Eiffel Tower tour, during which you will learn the history of the iconic monument and its role during World War II.

  • You have the whole of today at leisure to explore Paris at your own pace. The city has an endless list of museums, monuments, cafes, and districts to explore. We recommend the Musée Rodin and the Centre Pompidou for the modern art and some excellent views of the city.

  • Today your private driver meets you in your hotel lobby and drives you to the train station for your train to Bayeux, in Normandy. Begin your time in Normandy with a walking tour of historic Bayeux. The tour includes a visit to the famed Bayeux Tapestry, which depicts the exploits of William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy and King of England during the 11th century.

  • Today set out with your driver-guide for the American landing sites, starting with Omaha Beach before continuing to the American Cemetery for a humbling visit. Afterward you visit Pointe-du-Hoc, a German garrison overlooking the beaches below. After lunch continue to Saint-Mère-Église, the first French village to be liberated. Afterward, visit the Airborne Museum and Utah Beach before heading back to your hotel.

  • Today head out with your driver-guide to explore the British and Canadian landing sites, beginning with Pegasus Memorial, Ranville British Cemetery, and Merville Battery. After lunch continue to the Juno Beach Center and for a walk along Juno Beach before visiting two country estates that were used as headquarters during the war, one by the British and one by the Nazis.

  • Today you will be brought to the train station in Bayeux for your onward train to Charles de Gaulle airport for your flight home.
