Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • Your guide will be waiting for you at Denpasar Airport and will transfer you to Bali's spiritual and artistic hub, Ubud.

  • Today start with a visit to a local market where you will gather the ingredients necessary for your cooking class. You will then go to a local village to learn several traditional Balinese dishes.

  • This morning depart bustling Ubud for the quiet of a traditional village outside town. Tour the village with your guide and visit a traditional Balinese home compound where your guide can translate for you. Visit the village's rice fields to learn about the rice growing process, and finish your experience with a delicious locally prepared lunch. In the evening your guide will accompany you to experience a traditional Balinese kecak dance performance. Based on an ancient Hindu story the dance is a spectacle to behold as actors dressed in traditional costumes re-tell the story whilst a chorus of men chant and sway around them.

  • Day at leisure to enjoy one of the many activities on offer in Ubud. You may like to visit one of the area's many characterful temples, visit the local monkey forest, take a cycling tour or enjoy a private yoga class in a peaceful setting overlooking a river.

  • Today you will leave Ubud and head to a small eco-resort on the outskirts of a traditional Balinese village. Away from the crowds this destination gives an authentic insight into Balinese life in the countryside.

  • Approximately one hour from your hotel lies one of Bali's most impressive volcanoes, Mount Batur. The active volcano has a spectacular setting within a large ancient caldera next to a lake and hot springs. Over time, several craters have formed on the volcano. Today you will trek to one of the lower craters which provides panoramic views of the caldera and at times emits steam and gases from small vents in the crater wall. As the sun sets you will be served eggs that have been cooked in the soil beneath you before returning to your hotel.

  • Day at leisure to relax at your resort or enjoy one of the resort's activities such as a tour that gives insight into rural Balinese life, a herbal plants trek, Balinese dance lessons, waterfall trekking, or a cycling tour.

  • Your guide will collect you today for your transfer to the small coastal town of Candidasa, located on Bali's eastern coast. In the evening you will be taken to a small market town where you will have the opportunity to eat like a local at the town's night market under the expert guidance of a local food guide.

  • Enjoy a morning walking tour around the peaceful rice fields of Sidemen followed by lunch at a restaurant with sweeping views of Mount Agung.

  • Day at leisure to relax or enjoy activities in the area. Your resort has an on-site diving operator who can organize local diving and snorkeling activities.

  • This morning meet your guide for a cycling tour starting in the mountains behind the town and making your way down toward the coast past small villages and expansive plantations. End on the beach with lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Your guide will transfer you back to Denpasar Airport in time for your international flights home.
