Rooms
The rooms are light and fresh with exceptionally comfortable beds. Beautiful views can be enjoyed from most room types although we do suggest booking early to guarantee them. Rooms with terraces have swinging chairs, sunloungers, and fantastic views of the swimming pool below and the sea beyond.
You can expect bold, geometric patterns and contemporary statement pieces such as a squid themed installation or a restored armchair, all artfully placed by designer, Giampiero Panepinto. Bathrooms are spacious with enormous bathtubs or large, mosaicked walk-in showers. Rooms can be interconnected through hidden doors, disguised by long, black and white photographs.
Location
Tiberio Palace lies on the quiet Via Croce, just five minutes’ walk from the main piazetta (square) where you’ll find bustling restaurants, winding backstreets and the top of the funicular that brings new arrivals up from the port. Continuing on Via Croce out of town takes you to Villa Jovis, one of the island’s main sites but one which people rarely visit for lack of time.
Food and drink
Jacky Bar is the place for an evening aperitivo while, upstairs, you’ll find the Terraza Tiberio, a traditional and kosher restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serving exquisite dishes with views to match. There is a separate kitchen and chef for kosher dishes, the only one on the island certified by the Orthodox Union. Halal meat is available on request.
Facilities and activities
The heated swimming pool with terrace is open daily, along with the complimentary indoor gym. In the spa, there’s also a small sauna and steam room which are open to hotel guests only.
