Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • On arrival in Windhoek, you’ll be met by your driver and taken to your guesthouse in the middle of the city. Your car hire will be delivered directly to your guesthouse, where our representative will meet with you. They’ll give you a welcome pack, a cool box, a phone, driving instructions and answer any questions that you have. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax at leisure. You may like to visit a local restaurant for dinner.

  • Today you’ll begin your journey by heading to the Central Highlands, known for its rolling hills and broad valleys. The drive time will take around half a day, so we’d recommend taking regular stops and taking in the scenery. The primary focus at Okonjima is tracking the elusive leopard, and this afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to go on a guided safari drive in search of the many leopards that live on the reserve.

  • Today, your journey continues through open countryside and farmland to Etosha National Park, one of the largest national parks in Africa. Your camp is situated on the eastern side of the park, conveniently close to the Von Lindequist Gate, the primary entry point to this section of the park. Arriving in the afternoon, you may like to cool off in the large swimming pool before relaxing around the camp.

  • Today we’d recommend joining one of the guides from Mushara and heading into the park on morning and afternoon safari drives. They’ll use their local knowledge of the waterholes to find the best sightings, looking out for the classic Big Five, along with zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and more. Arriving back at camp, you may like to gather around the campfire this evening to share stories of everything that you’ve seen.

  • You’ll drive onward into the Zambezi Region (Caprivi Strip) today, known for its lush vegetation and diverse wildlife. Arriving at your riverside lodge in the afternoon, there are a variety of activities available that you may like to take part in. From sightseeing boat trips to fishing and bird-watching, each activity has been carefully designed to help you make the most of this unique area.

  • Today, you'll take a relatively short drive to your lodge, situated on the riverbank, very close to the border with Botswana. This area is incredibly varied, combining the aridness of the Kalahari with the lushness of the Okavango.

  • We’d recommend heading out on at least one safari drive during your stay. The lodge is conveniently situated near Bwabwata National Park. The Mahango and Buffalo Parks, for example, are located nearby and offer incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. Elephants, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos are just some of the animals that you can hope to see.

  • Now that you’ve explored on land, we’d suggest a boat cruise today at sunrise or sunset to explore the Okavango River. With over 430 bird species in this area, as well as hippos, crocodiles and more, there’s plenty for wildlife enthusiasts to see.

  • Today, your journey continues through the Zambezi Region (Caprivi Strip) to Nkasa Lupala National Park, the largest wetland area with conservation status in Namibia. After settling into the lodge, you might like to head out on a sunset safari drive with your experienced guide. One of the lodge's main draws is the large population of wildlife, which roams freely around the unfenced lodge surroundings, through the floodplain, savanna and woodland habitat.

  • Today, we’d recommend heading out on a safari drive with your guide into the national park and Wuparo conservancy. Elephants, buffalo, hippos, lions, leopards and others all call this area home. Walking safaris and night drives are also available at certain times of the year.

  • Today, you may like to go on a combined boat cruise and game drive down the Lunyanti River. Here you’ll have the opportunity to experience a remote, lesser-explored area of Namibia.

  • This morning, you'll leave Nkasa Lupala and drive across the border into Botswana. Leaving your car at Chobe Safari Lodge in Kasane, a driver will pick you up and take you across the border into Zambia. Spend the next three nights at Waterberry Zambezi Lodge. Waterberry Lodge is around forty minutes away from Victoria Falls, located on the banks of the Zambezi River. The location is perfect because you can escape the crowds around the falls, enjoy peaceful river cruises and visit the falls. This afternoon, you may like to head out on a sundowner boat cruise.

  • While you are at Waterberry, several activities are included. You can enjoy visits to Victoria Falls, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park or local villages and craft markets. Birdwatching, fishing, picnic cruises and sundowners on the river are also available.

  • A final day at Waterberry Lodge to enjoy Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River. You can choose to relax or try one of the more thrilling activities, such as a scenic helicopter flight or a swim at the top of the falls.

  • This morning, a driver will meet you and take you to Livingstone Airport for your onward flight.
