Your personal safari guide will collect you from your hotel after breakfast this morning. You’ll then depart Windhoek in your private safari vehicle for your lodge in Sesriem, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic location along the way. As you drive along, you’ll see beautiful landscapes that change as you drive into the desert. The sunsets and clear night sky in this part of Namibia are incredible to see.
-
Today, you may like to go on a guided tour to the Sossusvlei area with your guide. We’d recommend driving to see the Deadvlei and Sossusvlei areas in the morning and include a climb up Dune 45 or Big Daddy if you’re feeling energetic. After exploring the dunes, you’ll enjoy lunch nearby before heading to the impressive Sesriem Canyon. Returning to your lodge, you’ll have a few hours to relax before a delicious dinner.
-
Today, your driver will take you to Swakopmund on the coast. The popular resort town is renowned for its German architecture and a range of adventure activities, including kayaking and quad biking. This afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the town before sitting down for dinner in one of the town’s fantastic restaurants.
-
This morning you’ll take a gentle kayaking trip to Pelican Point, with a chance to see Cape fur seal colonies, dolphins, and sun fish. The playful seals are the real highlight here, with around 300 seals frequenting this area. Back on land, you’ll be driven north along the coast before heading inland to Damaraland. If you want to see the famous 'White Lady' rock paintings, you can stop off at Brandberg Mountain on the way to your camp.
-
This morning, you and your guide will set out to search for the desert-adapted elephants from Camp Kipwe. Only found in select parts of Africa, they have adapted over time to the harsh conditions and can survive for days without water. After lunch, back at the camp, you may want to visit the famous Twyfelfontein Canyon, known for its ancient rock art paintings and sketches dating back thousands of years.
-
Today you’ll leave Damaraland behind as you’re driven to Etosha National Park, a journey of around half a day. Arriving at the park gates, your guide will drive through the park to your camp, pointing out any wildlife that they see along the way. Giraffes, lions, zebras, hyenas and zebras can all be found here, so we’d recommend keeping your eyes peeled. Next to your camp, you’ll find a renowned waterhole where there’ll be even more opportunities for wildlife sightings.
-
Today you’ll make your way leisurely through Etosha National Park on a safari drive, visiting the various waterholes for the chance to see the animals. You may like to visit and stop for pictures at Etosha Pan, a vast salt pan and the largest in Africa. This afternoon, you’ll reach your lodge and have some time to relax, either by the pool or within the stylish main area.
-
Today you’ll be able to further explore Etosha National Park on a day of safari drives. Your lodge is conveniently close to the entrance, so you can really make the most of your time. Your guide will drive you back into the park, and if you have any specific requests for what you’d like to see, they’ll try their best to find these animals for you.
-
Today is your final day on safari, so you may want to return to the park with your driver and explore, meandering along the tracks and keeping an eye out for wildlife as you pass. Etosha in unique in that many different species will gather around the same waterhole, if you’re lucky you may see them all take their turns.
-
This morning, you’ll begin your journey back to the capital. The journey will take most of the day, and you’ll stop for lunch and take short breaks. Your driver will take you to your hotel in Windhoek, and you’ll have dinner at a local restaurant, where you’ll be able to reflect on your trip and the many different parts of Namibia that you’ve seen.
