From its position on the slopes of Table Mountain in the Gardens area of Cape Town, Four Rosmead enjoys a location that’s within walking distance of the city center but also just a short drive from many other places of interest. It gives the feeling of being completely out of the city in an upmarket suburb, yet all the city’s amenities are close by.

Four Rosmead offers value for money yet luxurious accommodation. During our stays, the service levels have been hard to fault. Guests enjoy a personalized yet low-key attention from the staff. The artwork, architecture and furnishings are representative of a hotel where contemporary African chic meets an underlying rich history.

Rooms
The guesthouse has a choice of luxury or deluxe rooms, plus one suite.
Deluxe rooms are situated on the first floor with a balcony facing the city or Table Mountain. The luxury rooms, on the ground floor, open out onto the gardens.
The suite is the guesthouse’s self-catering unit, accommodating two guests who prefer their experience to be more private. The suite has a fireplace, bath and a lounge leading onto a courtyard.
All the room choices enjoy indoor and outdoor showers, complimentary Wi-Fi, under-tile heating, and DVD players (with the DVD collection in the library).
Location
The guesthouse is within walking distance of Table Mountain, the National Museum, Company's Garden (the city's central green space created in the 1650s) and Greenmarket Square — one of Cape Town’s oldest markets. The coast and Kirstenbosch Gardens are a short drive away.
Food and drink
A choice of continental or full English breakfast. Each room is equipped with coffee and tea-making facilities and a bar fridge.
The hotel is close to award-winning restaurants, covering a range of fine dining and more casual options. You can also ask to eat in, which the guesthouse's staff will arrange using a local restaurant.

The guesthouse offers a retreat that's ideally suited to couples rather than families.
