Located in central Madrid, close to the bustling thoroughfare of the Gran Vía, Only YOU Boutique Hotel is a characterful property styled by the acclaimed interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán. Inside, you’ll find eclectic decor artistically blended with the building’s historic features to create a vibrant, contemporary space. The elegantly fashioned lobby leads through to an airy central reception surrounded by quirky design pieces. Feeling more like a grand house than a hotel, the ground floor is composed of numerous lounges and seating areas along with the hotel’s formal restaurant, tapas bar, library and wine bar.
Each of the hotel’s 125 rooms are decorated in blue and mustard tones and offer a more pared-back style with white linens, accent carpets and soft, leather furniture. The well-equipped modern bathrooms all feature rain showers along with robes and slippers. However, it is important to note that due to the historic nature of the property the room sizes and shapes can differ.
An à la carte breakfast is served downstairs in the central atrium and is available to guests at any time of the day. Traditional Spanish dishes cooked in a modern style are served in the hotel's YOUnique Restaurant, while a more informal tapas menu can be enjoyed in El Padrino Bar.
Rooms feature striking decor with vibrant art on the walls and boldly-patterned carpets in tones of blue and yellow. Due to the historic nature of the hotel the rooms vary in size, but each is uniquely appointed to offer individual character. As standard all rooms offer air conditioning, TVs and free Wi-Fi, with certain rooms offering additional amenities like espresso machines or balconies. The en suite bathrooms feature rainfall showers and a comfy robe and slippers, while some also include a separate bath.
Well located in central Madrid, the hotel is still close to some of the city’s best sights, a bit over ten minutes walking from El Retiro Park and 15 minutes from the Museo del Prado. The Palacio Real can be reached in under half an hour on foot.
The YOUnique restaurant, led by chef Carlos Martín, serves a carefully-curated and varied menu of classic Spanish dishes that feature creative twists. The El Padrino library bar, occupying a space which was once a noble home, serves a smaller tapas menu along with fine wine and craft beer and hosts a cicchetti (small Italian snacks) evening every Tuesday. Finally, the YOUnique lounge offers a comfortable, relaxing space to sit with an apéritif.
The hotel has a small beauty room with facial and massage treatments, as well as a small gym.
Quirky and eclectic, we love the unconventional styling of the Only YOU Boutique Hotel Madrid and find it a refreshing change from a more traditional hotel.
