Situated just 15 minutes from Uda Walawe National Park and owned by the famous Sri Lankan cricketer Romesh Kaluwitharana, Kalu's Hideaway is a simple property in which to base yourself when visiting the area for a safari.

All seven rooms are fairly basic and plain in design, with few facilities including TVs and DVD players. Other facilities include a swimming pool with outside decking and an indoor pool table. It must be noted that the hotel often receives large numbers of guests who come for lunch.
