  • Today you will have a private guided tour of Bangkok visiting the capital's key attractions: the Grand Palace, Wat Po (home to the reclining Buddha) and Jim Thompson's house. You will get to use Bangkok's different forms of public transport - the Skytrain which winds its way through the skyscrapers and shopping malls, the public taxi boat, a long-tail boat and of course the infamous Thai tuk tuk! This is a fun excursion that will give you a fantastic insight into the capital as well as the people that call Bangkok home.

  • An early start this morning to visit the summer palace of Bang Pa In, built by Rama IV. You can also see a gothic inspired temple on the banks of the river before boarding your converted rice barge for lunch. As you enjoy lunch, you will cruise past small communities along the water and into the ancient capital of Ayutthaya. Explore the historical park with your guide before returning back to Bangkok this evening.

  • Departing Bangkok after breakfast, you will have a two hour private road transfer to your comfortable safari-style camp located by the River Kwai near Kanchanaburi.
