Traditional wooden dhow dinner cruise in Dubai

Drift past Dubai’s major sights aboard a traditional boat while feasting on a buffet dinner

On this tour, you’ll step back in time and climb aboard a traditional Arabic sailing dhow for an evening cruise along the coastline of Dubai. With their angled sails perfectly crafted to travel across the turquoise waters of the Gulf, these intricately carved wooden boats showcase the rich maritime tradition of the region, and were historically used for trade, fishing, and pearl diving.

You’ll have the choice of two different routes when you book. Your dhow will either carry you past some of the oldest parts of the city as you traverse the souq-lined Creek or take you alongside the glittering architecture of the modern skyline on a cruise of the Dubai Marina.

The tour will start between 7pm and 7:45pm, when you’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the marina to board your boat alongside your fellow passengers. The two-hour cruise sets sail at 8:30pm and gives you the opportunity to see some of the city’s most distinctive sights, such as the Burj Al Arab and the Palm Jumeirah, from the exceptional vantage point of the water.

While you take in the views of sky-skimming buildings and elegantly carved minarets silhouetted against the sunset sky, your crew will prepare a buffet dinner for you to enjoy as you sail. Soft drinks and water are included, while alcohol can be purchased separately on board.

You’ll be returned to your hotel at the end of the cruise.
