Rooms
The snug cabins here reflect the wild surroundings, with a rustic decor that features lots of wood. There are five cabin sizes available: Standard, Family, Two Room, Two Bedroom and Queen Suite, which can accommodate from two to four people. Each cabin includes a private bathroom, large bed, hair dryer and room darkening blinds, which are vital during the long Alaskan summer days. There is also a small deck area at the front of each cabin with outdoor seating, providing the space to relax and unwind after the day’s activities.
Location
Located in the town of Healy, 16 km (10 miles) to the north of the Denali Park entrance, this is a great place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. A quiet town with only a few shops and restaurants, you are still just a short, scenic drive away from the facilities of the main village of Denali.
Food and drink
Although it’s in a remote setting, Earthsong Lodge does have the excellent Henry’s Coffeehouse where you can pick up breakfast pastries, bagels, sandwiches and cinnamon rolls. Named after one of the owners sled dogs, the coffeehouse is also filled with memorabilia from the owners’ sled trips, including trips to the Arctic, Northwest Passage and Iditarod Trail. You’ll find plenty of interesting items to keep you occupied over your morning coffee, as well as boxed lunches for taking on expeditions into the park.
Facilities and activities
In keeping with the wilderness surroundings, facilities here are limited. You’ll find Wi-Fi in the coffeehouse along with a number of books and games, as well as an on-site gift shop, which sells items that have been handmade by the owner Karin. You can also meet the dogs and puppies that pull the sleds during wintertime excursions.
