  • Enjoy a day exploring at your leisure. There are plenty of ways to spend your time in Anchorage; you may wish to visit the city’s history museum and the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about Alaska’s indigenous people, or perhaps head to Westchester Lagoon to go ice skating, warming up by the fire barrels, or try out fat-biking on one of the backcountry trails just outside of the city.

  • Today, you’ll embark on a scenic train ride on the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Fairbanks. Journeying through the quiet backcountry, you'll spend your time on board admiring the views or perhaps relaxing with a book. Upon arrival in Fairbanks, you’ll make your own way to your hotel, getting a good night’s sleep for your active day tomorrow.

  • This morning, after a short transfer from Fairbanks, you’ll arrive at your northern lights lodge in the Alaskan wilderness. You can spend the afternoon enjoying one of the winter activities on offer at the lodge, which includes dog-sledding, snowshoeing, photography classes and snowmobiling tours, each venturing through pristine boreal forests that surround the properties. After dinner, you can relax in your fibreglass dome cabin, keeping an eye out for the northern lights high in the sky above your bed.
