Entering the hotel for the first time is like walking into a modern art gallery; the signature white walls and minimalist design serve to bring the sea views into primary focus. The beauty of this hotel lies in the level of care and attention given to its design and service.

We were impressed by Casa Angelina; it's modern and chic while also being warm and welcoming. Designed as a romantic retreat, it's ideal for those who want peace while still being within easy reach of the coast, the nightlife, and the sea.

Rooms

Rooms and suites are bright and full of natural light; the white walls and simple design create a fresh, clean interior with all the comforts and luxuries of a five-star hotel. No effort has been spared; rooms are finished with soft linens, fresh flowers, hand-picked pieces of furniture and state-of-the-art technology. The bathrooms are spacious, with separate bathtubs and showers, all filled with L’Occitane beauty products. All rooms have balconies, French windows, or terraces, offering either frontal views of the sea or lateral views of the sea and coast.

Location

Casa Angelina is near the small town of Praiano. Positano is only a ten-minute drive away or you can drive to Ravello in approximately 35 minutes. Close to the hotel is La Gavitella Beach Club with direct sea access and reserved sunloungers. You'll need to take the elevator down to sea level and then it’s 200 steps to the club.

Food and drink

There are two restaurants at Casa Angelina and both serve exceptional dishes made from fresh, home-grown produce. The first, Un Piano Nel Cielo, translates as ‘A Floor in the Sky’ and has a panoramic rooftop terrace with indoor and outdoor seating. Try the breakfast here: it’s one of the best on the coast. For a light lunch, visit Taste, the hotel’s poolside restaurant.

Facilities and activities

The indoor heated swimming pool is located within the gym and fitness area. Here, you can hire a personal trainer or enjoy a relaxing sauna. An outdoor swimming pool is also available or, if you prefer to swim in the sea, there are reserved sunloungers at La Gavitella Beach club. Alternatively, book the private boat for a tour of the coastline.
