Featherbed Cruise, South Africa
Knysna is a central, accessible point on the Garden Route. Guests board a vessel to head to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. This privately owned nature reserve covers much of the western Knysna Head, and affords wonderful views of the lagoon and ocean, whilst also being far less developed than the eastern, more easily accessible Head.
The reserve is home to the pretty Knysna Loerie, the blue crane, and the blue duiker, a tiny antelope. The reserve is dominated by Milkwood forest, and also has some interesting caves along the shoreline, which you can explore on your stroll through the reserve.
