Beho Beho

Nyerere National Park, Tanzania

Beho Beho is set on the slopes of the Beho Beho Hills. From every point in camp there are superb views of the Beho Beho plains below and Lake Tagalala in the distance.

The main lodge is beautifully built with a tall makuti-thatch roof and is open sided. It is filled with stylish furniture and antique safari treasures. There are a variety of spots to dine at and a small pool to cool off in. Spread out on either side of the main lodge there are eight stone and thatch open-fronted cottages.

Inside they are simply but elegantly furnished with cream fabrics, sweeping muslin nets and of course, superb views. Each room has a telescope on the balcony for game and bird viewing right from the comfort of your cottage. The spacious en suite bathrooms have double basins, flush toilets and the hot showers are open to the sky.

Game is never far away from Beho Beho. Below the lodge there's a small lagoon with resident pod of hippo and which attracts a large number of animals to drink. There are a number of varied activities from Beho Beho. Guests can enjoy half and full day game drives, walking safaris, boat trips on Lake Tagalala and visits to the Tagalala Hot Springs.
