Hotel Majestic

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Hotel Majestic

Originally built in 1925, the Hotel Majestic overlooks the Saigon River from its fantastic, central location on Dong Khoi Street. As one of the city's older hotels it reflects the tumultuous history of Vietnam playing its part in both World War II, when invaded by Japan, and the Vietnam War when it was frequented by foreign correspondents and espionage agents.

Although the hotel has gone through several reincarnations over the years it still retains its original French Colonial architecture offering you the opportunity to relax amid the classical Art Deco splendor of colonial yesteryear. The 175 traditional rooms are spacious with grand bathrooms, high ceilings and the solid European style furniture all of which add to the hotel's colonial flair. The hotel has several restaurants and bars dotted throughout the hotel and a pleasant swimming pool in a central courtyard.
