Located on the island of Raiatea, only a few minutes away from Tahiti by air, the Opoa Beach Hotel is set on a white sand beach with spectacular views over the lagoon and the island of Huahine. With just nine bungalows this small resort is perfect for those wanting a secluded stay on one of the lesser-known islands.
All of the bungalows have a four-poster king size bed, sofa bed in the lounge area and en suite bathrooms. Local materials such as coconut tree fibres, roots of the Maki-Maki plant and shells from the beach have been used in the decor of the rooms to give the bungalows an authentic Polynesian feel. There is a restaurant on-site as well as a swimming pool, but if you feel like taking to the sea you can make use of the hotel's complimentary kayaks, Polynesian outriggers and snorkelling equipment.
