Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort and Spa
The convenient location to Tahiti allows clients to enjoy the island of Moorea even if there are time restraints.
The Sofitel Moorea sits on the edge of a magnificent lagoon with views toward the island of Tahiti. Surrounded by dramatic inland scenery it enjoys views not only over the turquoise lagoon but also of the island’s lush mountains.
While the resort has one of the best beaches on the island and great snorkelling, a trip to Moorea is as much about exploring the dramatic and lush inland landscape as it is the marine scenery. This great value resort is a great base for discovering the island and in whale watching season (July - October) you can sometimes see passing whales out at sea from some of the overwater bungalows.
Throughout the property you will find a blend of French and Polynesian designs with rooms that are set in the tropical gardens, on the edge of the water, or directly over the water. The 112 bungalows have bright but sophisticated designed rooms that invoke a relaxing stay and are equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, television, safe, minibar and tea and coffee facilities.
The Sofitel has a secluded location on the north east coast of Moorea. Set on one of the best beaches on the island it is within driving distance of restaurants and shops and several restaurants will pick you up from the hotel if you make a reservation.
At the resort you have access to two restaurants and one bar. The K Restaurant, set in the sand, offers fine dining in an atmospheric and romantic setting. Dine barefoot in the sand under the high vaulted ceilings with candle light and magnificent views of the lagoon and Tahiti Island. Pure Restaurant offers a more relaxed atmosphere, and a mix of local and international dishes under a covered terrace. The Vue Bar is the perfect place to try out their extensive cocktail list whilst sitting back and enjoying the sunset.
In terms of beaches the Sofitel enjoys one of the best locations on Moorea, with its long sandy beach and sheltered lagoon that makes it perfect for swimming and snorkelling.
