Sandat Glamping Tents

This intimate and peaceful property is the first glamorous campsite in Bali, offering clients an escape from the hustle and bustle of central Ubud and just eight private rooms to choose from. Located around three kilometres from Ubud, Sandat Glamping Tents occupies a small corner of a quiet paddy field; the plot is designed over three levels to mirror the surrounding terraces and is in keeping with its natural environment.

Three Eco-Lumbung rooms are situated on the highest level, and are designed in the style of structures originally used as warehouses for rice. Each has a traditional Alang-Alang thatched roof, lounge and open-air bathroom and canopy bedroom over two levels, and the three Lumbung share a swimming pool with views across the rice paddies.

Across the lower level, five safari-style tents are separated by bamboo screens and vertical gardens for privacy and a sense of natural seclusion. Each has an infinity-edged plunge pool and terrace looking out into the forest, and is built from natural materials with an individual style and colour scheme. Local bamboo and mahogany are combined with unusual artefacts and elegant design to create beautifully contemporary accommodation. Two of the tents are suites which come with unusual canopied round beds.

With no television or phones (guests have a wooden instrument to summon their butler), and a communal lounge, dining table and lava stone bar, this is a wonderful place to get away from it all for a few days while enjoying the highlights of Ubud and the central region of Bali.

A complimentary shuttle service is offered to the centre of Ubud, and daily activities and dinner specialities are on offer for guests to enjoy during their stay.
