Rooms

All the accommodation is situated in the beautiful gardens with views right over the bay. Inspired by Mexican beach houses, the interiors are heavily whitewashed featuring rustic wooden furniture and luxurious pale linens. Choose from a casita, suite or a villa depending on the number of guests and the size of the space needed. Each offers the ultimate privacy and luxury alongside welcome homely touches. 

The spacious casitas offer large private terraces with infinity edge hot tubs and gorgeous views over the Sea of Cortez, while suites are a little larger with more remarkable views out over the ocean. Both the villas and oceanfront villas are more suited to families or larger groups with fully equipped kitchen and dining areas and expansive outdoor terraces.

Location

Set high on the cliffside on the stunning Baja peninsula, overlooking the gleaming azure waters of the Sea of Cortez, the Esperanza resort is easily accessible in just a 30-minute drive from San José del Cabo international airport. The hotel is just four miles from the town of Cabo San Lucas and there are local taxis available to transport guests to the town.

Food and drink

There are plenty of options for dinner at Esperanza, but the star of the show is without doubt the romantic Cocina del Mar restaurant. Cliffside dining on candlelit tables with sweeping views over the bay is the perfect way to finish a day in paradise. The dishes served are inspired by the roaring ocean, with freshly caught seafood being the main speciality.

There are also two more casual outdoor dinner venues, Las Estrellas and La Palapa, which serve family favourites like wood-fired pizzas and pasta and traditional Mexican tacos and ceviche. La Terraza Americana offers guests poolside light bites, snacks and healthy refreshments.

For a really private and romantic celebration, the hotel can set up a personalised three-course beach dining experience with wine and cosy bonfire. There is also the option to hire the hotel's chef to cook for you and your group in the comfort of your private villa.

Families

Children are more than welcome at Esperanza, with the kids' club offering Cabo-style fun, piñata parties, access to four onsite pools, beaches and gardens to run around in. There are also exclusive spa treatments on offer for children and a teen club offering active sports for more adventurous older children.
