Hacienda VIP

Hacienda VIP, Merida & Around, Mexico

Hotel Hacienda Merida VIP is a small, 6 bedroom boutique B+B located in the heart of Merida, next door to its sister property Hacienda Merida.

The hacienda itself is an 1820 converted historical home beautifully preserved with spacious relaxing areas, a small pool and bar. The hotel offers guests a wonderful balance of colonial charm, contemporary influences and personalised service levels, which when combined with the comfort of the rooms makes for the perfect base from which to explore the Yucatan Peninsula.

Each room varies in size and decor — each with its own quirk — as you might expect from such an old property and some of the rooms are a little dark and lack natural light, however, all have wonderfully comfortable king beds, cable TV, air-con, en-suite and iPod dock. Breakfast is served here but there is currently no restaurant, however, you are within 10-15 minute walk to a wide-range of options that the hotel can recommend.

The "White City" title that Merida has derives from the stately homes and mansions that adorn the sides of Paseo Montejo, about 10 blocks north of the centre, standing opulently in gleaming white stone.
