Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Marrakesh. You'll be met at the airport by a local representative and driven by private car to your riad, located in the walled, old city of Marrakesh. This is a short 15-minute drive from the airport.

  • Today embark on a privately guided tour of the hidden sides of Marrakesh, including its fondouks, souqs and the Majorelle Gardens. Late this afternoon, embark on a tasting trail through Marrakesh with your private guide, sampling some of the country's delicious cuisine from stalls and restaurants.

  • This morning you have a half-day visit to the Majorelle Gardens and Yves Saint Laurent Museum next door. The tranquil gardens provide a welcome contrast to the hustle and bustle of the medina. Here, you can stroll among cacti, bamboo and gurgling streams and visit the Amazigh Museum, which has a collection of items that once belonged to Amazigh tribes. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you please. You may wish to head to Djemaa el Fna, the main square, where you can watch street performers and sample local Moroccan street food.

  • Today you have a half-day private sidecar tour of the city, which will allow you to explore areas unvisited by most tourists. Along with your local guide, you will be driven around Marrakesh, and explore the hidden highlights of this city including the Palmeraie, known for its mix of tall palm trees, desert oasis and luxurious walled villas, Marrakesh’s medina, and the 1920s-influenced Gueliz district. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish.

  • Depart Marrakesh in the late morning and head to the Agafay Desert, a one-hour drive from Marrakesh. This arid area with rocky hills and views of the High Atlas Mountains is perfect if you're looking to get a flavour of a desert experience, but don't have time to travel all the way to the Erg Chebbi. On arrival, you will have time to enjoy the luxury desert camp's facilities including the outdoor swimming pool. In the evening, spend some time stargazing and marvelling at the incredible starry sky.

  • This morning, before you depart for the High Atlas Mountains, you will have time to do one of the activities on offer at your desert camp. This could be quad biking across the dunes, going for a bike ride in the desert, or a more creative activity like making pottery. Upon arrival at your hotel in the Atlas Mountains, you will have some time at leisure to relax at your hotel and admire the views.

  • Today you will head out into the foothills of the Ourika Valley for a hike with your local guide. Your guide has intimate knowledge of the High Atlas Mountains and will tailor the hike to your fitness levels. Wherever you go, you can be guaranteed incredible views. You'll pass through rural villages and stop for lunch at a local family's home to hear more about their traditional way of life.

  • Today, you venture to a rural Amazigh village to explore their local life and rituals. You will spend time with an Amazigh family and cook a traditional meal together in their home. You will also visit a ceramic and weaving workshop in the village.

  • Return to Marrakesh Airport with your private driver, ready for your onward flight. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
