The Kathmandu Guest House offers five room choices. The smallest options are the Standard and Garden-Facing rooms, which are located in the old building. Though reasonably priced, these rooms don't offer any air conditioning. We recommend the Deluxe and Suite rooms in the new Siddhi Anex, which provide air conditioning, a bath, a safe, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. In addition, there are two family apartments that have two bedrooms, a living, dining and kitchen area, though these are often booked up by long-term guests.
Located in the heart of Thamel, just a short walk from temple-packed Durbar Square, the Kathmandu Guest House is a comfortable hotel that's well situated to explore the city.
Food and Drink
There are two dining options: KGH Dream Garden Café or the Inner Sanctum Restaurant. KGH Dream Garden Café serves a wide range of Continental, Chinese and Indian food, as well as dishes cooked in a traditional Indian clay oven, which guests can enjoy in the tree-shaded garden. Inner Sanctum is a new restaurant in the old palace courtyard where guests can enjoy a peaceful candle-lit dinner.
