Kichaka Frontier Camp is located in the Landa section of Ruaha National Park, a true wilderness area where you're unlikely to see anyone else other than the occasional park ranger. The camp sits upon a hill, with views over the grasslands dotted with ghostly baobab trees and the seasonal Ruaha River.
There are just three luxurious tents, each with comfortable beds and a shaded veranda area at the front with chairs where you can relax and enjoy the views. The tents offer complete privacy, and as you drink sundowners on your veranda, it feels like you have Ruaha all to yourself. Each tent also has its own outdoor ablution tent just a few steps away, with a washbasin, short-drop toilet and hot bucket shower.
The spacious mess tent is the heart of the camp, strewn with sofas and beanbags, and dominated by a large dining table where you eat dinner with fellow guests. In the evenings, the campfire becomes the focal point as guests gather before and after dinner to relax with a cool drink and share stories from their day's adventures.
The property is owned by your host, Noelle, and Moli, who's one of the most experienced guides in Tanzania and has worked with us for many years. His enthusiasm for the wildlife of Ruaha and his expertise are bound to make this stay a memorable one.
