Museum of Anatolian Civilisations

Trip to the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations

Located in Ankara Old Town, on the south side of the castle, the museum is housed within an old Ottoman bazaar building and a caravanserai.

It contains a highly impressive selection of archaeological remains from Anatolia, which date back as far as the Paleolithic Age, excellently and imaginatively displayed in various exhibitions throughout the museum.

There is also a shop and a café within the grounds, and more remains can be found dotted around the gardens.
