Ovolo Woolloomooloo occupies a fantastic waterfront location on the sought-after Woolloomooloo Wharf with delightful views across the eclectic Bay Village and harbour. Tucked behind the Royal Botanic Gardens, Ovolo is a twenty-five-minute walk from the iconic attractions of Circular Quay, the incredible Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
The hotel combines heritage with modern design in the 100 rooms and throughout the property. The Lo Lounge is a sleek multi-purpose social area designed for hotel guests to work, network or simply relax.
As one of the ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World’ the Ovolo style is boutique, but also funky and colorful, combining a mix of heritage features and contemporary design. All the rooms are reasonably large in size, and as such the entry-level ‘Superoo’ room is a good option for short stays. For longer stays, our favorite room is the ‘Ultravoo,’ an enormous room with double height ceilings and a mezzanine to create two levels, as well as stunning views of Sydney’s skyline.
Ovolo Woolloomooloo is located on a pier above the water, just west of Sydney’s Botanic Gardens and Circular Quay. It’s a fantastic location for people who enjoy exploring on foot, as the Harbour walk into the city is stunning. It is also walking distance to Potts Point, the fun, quirky suburb full of buzzing cafes and world class restaurants and bars.
Foodies are spoilt for choice at the Ovolo as not only do they have their own first-rate restaurant, ‘Alibi,’ there is also a whole host of the city’s top restaurants right the way along Woolloomooloo Wharf. China Doll is a fantastic option for Asian cuisine, whilst Kingsleys, Manta and Ottos are all local favorites as well. For something lower key you can even have breakfast or dinner in bed, and enjoy a drink from your free minibar.
Sustainability is hugely important at the Ovolo hotels, and you can sleep easy in the knowledge that you are minimizing your impact on the environment by staying there. Bamboo flooring, low-consumption LED lighting, eco-friendly paint, non-toxic cleaning products and eco-kettles are all designed with the environment in mind. We can even arrange Tesla electric car transfers for you from the airport to the hotel (or vice versa).
A quirky yet sophisticated hotel offering a unique, first class experience of Sydney in a fantastic location.
