XII Century Heritage Hotel

Trogir, Croatia

Centrally located, XII Century Heritage Hotel is a sophisticated and intimate boutique property with lashings of period charm. Not only will you be a mere skip from this tiny UNESCO World Heritage Site’s photogenic waterfront, but you’ll also have an appealing selection of restaurants, cafés, shops, and medieval attractions on your doorstep.

Inside the hotel you’re met with a classic-meets-contemporary design scheme in the chic lobby, a welcoming space with exposed stone, original wood beams, and pendant lighting. Elsewhere, there’s a sun terrace for scenic views, an elegant dining room for Mediterranean cuisine and a relaxing bar. All of the 15 light-flooded rooms have been styled by Split-born interior designer Lea Aviani and feature rich tones, comfortable king size beds, and flat-screen TVs. Complimentary Wi-Fi and minibars complete the luxurious touches.

For those with a love of traditional esthetics and contemporary design, XII Century Heritage Hotel is a superb choice. We particularly like the location on Trogir’s waterfront for sweeping Adriatic views.

There’s a tasteful classic meets contemporary decor theme in the 15 rooms, all of which are individually styled and tempt with lightly shaded walls, lavish furnishings with dark red or blue accents, and gray carpets. All have blackout drapes, air conditioning, soundproof windows, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and spacious marble bathrooms. Superior rooms offer larger living areas, while the Deluxe rooms offer scenic views of the promenade. The Junior and Executive suites have separate living areas and upgraded amenities.

The hotel enjoys a prime waterfront position in Trogir’s historic district, overlooking the sea and Čiovo Island. Attractions, including Kamerlengo Fortress and the open-air market, are an easy walk from the hotel along the old town’s pedestrian-only cobblestone streets.

Food and drink

A buffet breakfast is served daily at the hotel’s outdoor restaurant overlooking Trogir’s yacht-filled marina. Expect fresh fruit, pastries, meats, cheeses, cooked-to-order eggs, tea or coffee, and fresh juices. A Mediterranean menu is also on offer for lunch and dinner. Alternatively, you can head to the promenade and the narrow side streets around the historic district for a selection of well-priced restaurants.

There is no lift in the hotel and stairs are required for access to the rooms. Staff are on hand to assist with luggage.
