Centrally located in the heart of Belfast, The Fitzwilliam Hotel is adjacent to Belfast’s Grand Opera House and surrounded by a plethora of charming cafés, lively pubs and local boutiques. After being greeted by the cheery doorman, guests arrive into the grand lobby, whose high ceilings, marble reception area and statement lights are offset by an inviting fireplace surrounded by comfortable sofas.

The contemporary elegance of this boutique hotel continues in the guest rooms which feature a loose Art Deco theme in their geometric patterns, rich fabrics and mid-century style furniture. While the hotel is sophisticated it’s not stuffy and guests will appreciate the warm, friendly service in the intimate restaurant and atmospheric bar.

Rooms

The simple guest rooms are decorated in a loose Art Deco style and feature an array of contemporary furnishings. Details include a patterned carpet, upholstered headboard, spacious work area and splashes of yellow, blue or green. All rooms have large windows, complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and chic bathrooms with monochromatic tiled walls. All rooms have a separate bath and shower, apart from the standard rooms which just have a shower. Upgrade to a deluxe room or above for an in-room coffee machine.

Location

The Fitzwilliam Hotel is conveniently situated in central Belfast next to the Grand Opera House and close to the city's many cafés, pubs and shops. Belfast City Hall is just a five-minute walk away and historic St George's Market can be reached on foot in fifteen minutes.

Food and drink

All-day dining is available in the hotel’s restaurant which features long communal tables, pink high-back chairs and intimate, subdued lighting. The restaurant serves delicious dishes based around fresh local produce and due to its proximity to the Opera House, offers a pre-performance meal. Casual meals and refreshing cocktails are also available in the lively, brightly lit bar.
