Hotel Londra Palace

Hotel Londra Palace

Venice, Italy

Set overlooking the Venetian lagoon just steps from the Doge’s Palace, Hotel Londra Palace offers guests views from traditionally Venetian accommodation. The property has operated as a hotel since the 1850s and hosted illustrious guests throughout the years including the composer Tchaikovsky who composed parts of his Symphony No. 4 while staying at the hotel.

Entering from the lively Riva degli Schiavoni, you’re greeted by a historic façade and a traditional reception area. The 52 rooms and suites are decorated in a classically Venetian style with antique wooden furnishings, patterned walls, and sumptuous jewel-toned fabrics. Higher room categories offer views over the lagoon, and for a truly memorable experience, some suites and junior suites offer balconies overlooking the lagoon and the Church of San Giorgio across the water.

The hotel’s Do Leoni Restaurant on the ground floor is well regarded in Venice and a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The Venetian cuisine is prepared using the freshest ingredients, plated in impressive style, and served in either a bright dining room overlooking the lagoon or on the lagoon-front terrace. There’s also a stylish bar at the hotel as well as an unforgettable roof terrace which offers some of the best views in Venice.

OUR OPINION:

Hotel Londra Palace is brimming with history and elegance. Its central location and unbeatable views, alongside wonderful service make for a great stay.
