Kagetsu Hotel

Kagetsu Hotel

Matsumoto, Japan

The Kagetsu offers a close proximity to Matsumoto’s highlights and relaxing amenities for a comfortable stay. The annex room has locally-crafted furniture and the public spaces of the main building have largely wooden interiors reminiscent of a snug, if dated, lodge.

The large public baths are well-kept and the hotel restaurants serve local ingredients, making the Kagetsu a good place to enjoy a night in. To further promote Matsumoto’s traditions, guests can also purchase folk crafts in the hotel’s shop, Tsumugu.

OUR OPINION:

We like the Kagetsu because of its proximity to the Mastumoto Castle, but also because it's one of the more characterful properties in the area.

OUR RATING: Medium
