Belmond Governor's Residence

Belmond Governor's Residence

Once the home of the Governor of Myanmar's southern states, this beautiful teak mansion dates back to the 1920s. Today, it stands majestically amidst beautifully tended gardens and lotus ponds in the quiet Embassy Quarter of Yangon. Guests here can relax in the peaceful surroundings, perhaps taking a refreshing dip in the pool or indulging in a spa treatment. Accommodation is spacious and stylishly decorated with teak furniture, tropical cottons and silks in a nod to the hotel's heritage, while traditional Burmese dishes can be enjoyed al fresco by lantern light as you unwind after a day of sightseeing. From the hotel, you can easily regale your spirit with a visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda or negotiate the bustling Bogyoke (Scott) Market.
