The Sanctum Inle Resort has an excellent location on the perimeter of picturesque Inle Lake and is one of the larger hotels in the area.

It's set in attractive lush grounds and has a minimalist approach, with references toward the monastic aspects of Myanmar (though it does reflect European rather than Burmese traditions) with many arches and cloisters forming the walkways of the three main hotel buildings.

The rooms are finished to a very high standard with a high level of detail — cable TV and a minibar are standard across all room categories. Dining is catered for in the extensive refectory, where outdoor eating is a possibility in the attractive shaded grounds. Alongside this is the Cloister Bar, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the lake and its villages.

The Sanctum Inle Resort also boasts the Sanctuary Spa, with its extensive list of treatments, and alongside this is a small boutique shop.
