Opened in Fall 2013, the American Trade Hotel is the newest property in Panama City's Casco Viejo and one of the best hotel options in the city.
Located on Plaza Herrera, right in the center of the old quarter, the building was originally the City Bank but had stood derelict for years until it was renovated as part of the wider re-generation of the Casco Antiguo. It's 77 rooms are all spacious, light and airy with TVs, iPod docking stations, air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi. It is one of the few hotels in the Casco Viejo with a swimming pool and even boasts a cozy library and a jazz club with live music at the weekends.
