Housed with a series of brick building that gently reflect Andalusia’s Moorish history, and surrounded by spacious gardens, the Vincci Estrella del Mar offers comfortable relaxation on the Costa del Sol just outside Marbella.

With 137 rooms spread across five buildings, all surrounded by tiered gardens, pool terraces and open spaces, the property never feels crowded, even at its busiest. The comfortable and well-sized rooms are neutrally decorated in shades of white and brown, with air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi as standard. The en suite bathrooms are equipped with marble fixtures, a separate bath and shower and double sinks.

Though not directly on the beach, the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle to its waterfront beach club, which you can also reach in about ten minutes on foot. Here, you can pick and choose from the infinity pool, spa and loungers, and enjoy a drink from the poolside bar or dinner from the restaurant’s buffet or à la carte menu.

OUR OPINION:

A great option for couples or families alike, we love the understated charm of the Vincci Estrella del Mar. With plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the gardens, or to relax on the beach, it makes a great base in the heart of the Costa del Sol.

Rooms

The rooms are simple yet elegant in style, with soft white and brown tones and chic weathered wooden furniture. The air-conditioned rooms offer every modern comfort, including stylish bathrooms with marble fixtures and a separate bath and shower. Complimentary Wi-Fi is standard.

Location

The hotel sits on the outskirts of Marbella, in the heart of the Costa del Sol. You’re within easy reach of the beach and close to other cities in Andalusia. Málaga is just under an hour away by car, and it’s an hour and a half drive to Ronda, or two hours to Granada.

Food and drink

A buffet breakfast and an à la carte dinner menu are served in the hotel’s restaurant, Baraka. The hotel’s sea-facing beach club restaurant also serves dinner, both buffet style and à la carte, and the club’s Sunset Bar mixes up cocktails plus snacks next to the pool.

Families

The hotel’s kids’ club is open year-round (but only staffed from March to November). On request, the hotel can also arrange babysitting services.

Facilities and activities

Just a short shuttle ride or ten-minute walk from the hotel brings you to its waterfront beach club, with its bar, restaurant, gym, spa complex and plentiful loungers. In the spa, you’ll find a large heated pool and treatment rooms for beauty treatments and massages. The hotel also has four outdoor pools.
