The Phumanee Lahu Home is a family run property which provides a friendly base for those wishing to explore the local hill tribe communities. The hotel is operated by ancestors of Phu Muen, the man who led the migration of Lahu people from Myanmar into Thailand 120 years ago. The 30 comfortable, en-suite rooms are simply furnished and display elements of Lahu culture. A variety of food is served in the simple restaurant including traditional Lahu dishes as well as Thai and some western options. They also serve fresh tea and coffee produced in local villages. In the communal areas you will find displays dedicated to the origins, history and culture of the Lahu people.
