The Surin is located on one of Phuket’s prettiest white sand beaches, sheltered in the quiet, palm-fringed Pansea Bay. The 108 cottages are staggered across the hillside and coconut groves, with views of the bay and turquoise waters.
The beachfront suites are spacious, and have direct access on to the beach. The restaurants offer imaginative menus, combining western and Thai influences, as well as freshly caught fish and seafood. Other facilities include a spa, swimming pool and a whole host of activities and watersports.
Linked together by a lattice of steps and walkways all cottages feature luxurious bedrooms with dressing areas and generous outdoors spaces. Amenities include mini bars, individually controlled air conditioning; complimentary Wi-Fi, satellite TVs, IDD telephones, safes and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The suites differ in interior design and size and have the additional features of his/her vanity units, bath tub, flat screen TV and Bose sound dock with i-pod.
Located on the west coast of Phuket, The Surin sits on Pansea Beach, a quiet cove surrounded by palm trees. While the location feels very secluded and this is the quieter side of the island, you're a short walk inland to a number of local restaurants and shops.
Food and Drink
Lomtalay Thai Restaurant: authentic Thai cuisine is served in a breathtaking setting, created by renowned American architect Ed Tuttle. Guests can enjoy unobstructed views of the Andaman Sea, whilst enjoying dishes from either an à la carte menu, or from a traditional set menu for two, that changes daily.
Sunset Café and Bar: a casual all-day menu of Italian and international specialities, served tapas style. The Sunset Bar becomes the meeting point for an aperitif before dinner, and is the best venue to witness the spectacular sunset.
Beach Restaurant: the Beach Restaurant offers the finest freshly caught fish and seafood from the Andaman Sea, as well as selected imported prime meat cuts from the charcoal BBQ. A great setting, overlooking the ocean. Open, weather permitting, in high season only (mid/end October to April) from 12 noon to 22.30 (last order).
The Surin welcomes children, and has a small children's pool and children's menu available in all restaurants. Babysitting services can also be arranged at a charge, with 24 hours notice. However, the resort is set on a hillside, and has a number of terraces, steps and steep drops.
Facilities and Activities
The Surin has a large black-tiled swimming pool and children's pool, with adjacent sundeck and sunbeds. The pool is open from 7am until 6:30pm.
