Koh Chang, meaning Elephant Island, is Thailand’s third largest island just off the Trat coastline. Much of the island is protected as part of a national park and can’t be built upon, allowing the island to be unaffected by too many travelers.

It’s renowned for its lush rainforest and rolling hills that tumble toward the sea, creating a striking backdrop for its beaches. One of the most beautiful aspects of the island is its waterfalls, which can be seen throughout the year.

The National Marine Park just off Koh Chang is also acclaimed for its marine life. Koh Wai isn’t far away and has some of the best coral, making it excellent for snorkeling or diving.
